FIRST SOUNDS // Chase Bliss + Analog.man Brothers AM

April 21, 2025 | Alan

We’re all familiar with long lines at the airport, or at Disney World, or maybe waiting for your Easter ham at Honey Baked Ham. Those of us with GAS also know the wonderfully long line to get one of Mike Piera’s (aka  ⁨@analogspam⁩ ) King of Tone dual overdrive pedals. I’ve been fortunate to have gotten on the list many moons ago and have had the opportunity to play one. It’s great and I’d say it lives up to the hype, although for me I only ever used one side of it in a live environment. Call me silly but I like different flavors when stacking my drive pedals.

(Funny enough, I emailed Mike about a single channel “Prince of Tone” back in 2011 and he said there were no plans for one…wonder where he got that idea from lol)

Now the wait list to get a King of Tone is somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 years, so get one the list now for your grandkids to enjoy.

In all seriousness, the fact that  @ChaseBlissAudio  teamed up with Analog.man to make the Brothers AM (or “Bliss of Tone” as I like to call it), means that people won’t have to wait years and years for a KoT is pretty rad, and it’s not just a knockoff, it’s a resurrection of the Chase Bliss Brothers pedal with all the KoT glory…plus a little Analog.man Beano Boost inspired circuit built in.

Hi Gain, lo gain, boost, OD. Yup it’s got it. 2 times over in fact!

Signature Chase Bliss ramping it does not. Nor does it give you routing options (serial/parallel) or stereo I/O. But hey, who besides me what’s a stereo OD pedal?!?

So in this NO TALKING video (as most of our “first sounds” are) enjoy as we take the Brothers AM for a spin and see what sign of gritty, dirty, low down overdrive and distortion we can get from the Brothers AM!
