Line 6 HX Stomp Starter Pack

September 19, 2025 | Alan

We’ve been working on presets for all our favorites and have been teasing  @line6movies  HX Stomp content since our social media survey earlier this year — and now, our first pack is finally available on our Patreon (http://patreon.com/thePedalCollaborative)!

The Stomp Starter Pack is designed to deliver great sounds right out of the box for your Line 6 HX Stomp. Below is a quick rundown of each patch:

Flyrig 0:00 – This is the patch I use when I’m heading to a songwriting session with just my Stomp. It’s got all the essentials and nothing more: Drive, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, a Looper, and an amp model that works well with both single coils and humbuckers. It’s designed to shine with an additional footswitch, as shown. You don’t always need the distraction of a full pedalboard when you’re just trying to get raw ideas off the ground — this one is for actually making music.

Voxxx 2:03 – This was actually the first patch I built when I got a Helix Floor back in 2017. At the time, my main rig was a Vox amp, and I wanted to recreate the slight breakup tone I always used with my small pedalboard. This patch is all in-the-box, with the drive pedal set to always on.

Del2x 3:47 – This dual-delay patch includes a compressor and amp block for lush ambient textures — or, turn those off and you’ve got a fantastic standalone delay that fits right into your existing board. The Matchless amp pairs especially well with my Telecaster for creamy, spacious delay tones.

Playground 5:07 – This one covers everything you’d typically find on a pedalboard except drive. Personally, I like to run a real drive pedal in front of the Stomp — it makes everything come alive and frees up blocks for other effects. You’ll notice a theme throughout this starter pack: Drive, Chorus, Delay, Verb, Looper, Amp. I’ve always found that starting point sparks creativity, so each patch here is built with that in mind.

PlaY1ng ROck 6:54 – This patch is for when you just want to get down and dirty. Wah, Tube Screamer, Orange amp, and a nice room reverb. Add an expression pedal and you’re good to go. Rock and roll.

Fender Bender 8:32 – In almost total contrast to the last one, this patch is my take on a smooth pedal steel-style tone. The pitch whammy is set for a subtle bend, tape saturation adds warmth and fuzziness, and the big spring reverb after the Fender amp model gives everything that dreamy, slidey feel.

2 Bonus Patches

FX: Klon 9:54 – Nothing fancy here, but during Klone Wars back in March, I featured this dialed in with my Universal Audio Dream 65. Figured I’d include the settings for anyone who wants them.

Simple Bass Amp 10:29 – This is my go-to bass amp setup for recording: EQ, Fuzz, Chorus, and my amp model of choice, dialed in for a Fender Mustang Bass.
