Can the Walrus Slöer do the Strymon Cloudburst Ensemble Mode?

if you made it this far you must be interested in what's coming next uh and I feel like I did an okay job kind of matching the um Australian cloudburst and the walrus slower knobs as you can kind of see here and cloudburst that I was using was with the Ensemble mode off and I that was easy quote unquote easy um let's try and make um let's try and turn let's turn not try let's turn Ensemble mode to uh midi Forte so here's that sound [Music] let me bring it up a bit foreign [Music] trying to find the setting I want to try [Music] okay I'm liking this [Music] and you'll note I have Trails turned off on the cloudburst let's switch this lower to light it just for fun make sure rain's not a good one nope I mean that's a good one but like lights what I want [Music] foreign let's start with the mix and see how they feel to me [Music] bring this up a bit a bit more [Music] okay I want to bring this filter up maybe [Music] feeling in some ways the um filter on the slower the filter on the slower acts like the tone knob on the cloudburst [Music] [Music] s let me pull the depth down see how that feels I guess basically taking the modulation out [Music] um what's the X do Crank that up real quick okay take it all the way down [Music] oh no we definitely went all the way up um it's that excess slider on this mode feels like it adds um almost like the the octave like how much of the octave is in there that's definitely better let's change that filter a bit and see what it does it might take it out too much yeah I need that back in there okay [Music] last thing to check here's I guess the stretch take it down [Music] that lowers the sample rate [Music] it all the way up see what that does cool if I try to do that brightens it a bit maybe it [Music] I think maybe some more I love that I love that sound that's right in the middle [Music] oh man [Music] I kind of feel like that's the closest it's gonna get but it's definitely not the same [Music] so there you have it I think that the slower can get pretty close to the cloudburst definitely with um The Ensemble mode off on the cloud versus slower has a much easier job of hitting it but with the Ensemble mode on and the slower in light mode you're getting something close but it is not there [Music] thank you there is something on the cloudburst that kind of has a Senti pad feel to it and [Music] um I want to say the word metallic [Music] like if uh an orchestra of violins and cellos and violas but we're made out of metal bodies instead of wood that's what I hear [Music] and it's not a bad thing foreign [Music] [Music] thank you all for watching um like subscribe comment I want to know what you think um the equipment on this demo is my gnl ASAT classic Blues boy and into a 29 petals Yuna into a 1981 inventions LVL and going into out of that goes into my audience so no interface the Benson Chimera VST made by mix wave back out into the actually I have it in between the cloudburst um and then from the cloud burst into the slower and the slower out into my Daw I just have them backwards here because it's easy to switch those two so that's there you have it thank you guys for watching and I hope you have a wonderful day peace
