FIRST SOUNDS // 1981 Inventions “Professional” DRV

All hail the mighty Professional DRV from ​⁠1981 Inventions! This one has NOS 1N34A germanium diodes and brings all the warm fuzzy feelings you’d expect! No this is not a re-brand. No this does not make the DRV circuit sound like another pedal with a mythical half-man half-horse in the front.

However, the Professional does pay tribute to the pedal that shall not be named, if even in just looks alone!

Take a spin with me as I play a loop (captured with my Meris LVX), and give this DRV variant a run for the money!

Oh one thing you CAN’T hear in this demo is how incredibly light-weight this pedal is! Compared to the original DRV No.3, which would surely tip the scales of any check.med luggage therefore requiring you to pay an additional heavy luggage fee, this one actually defies gravity and makes you lighter!
