Clever Combinations: Chase Bliss MOOD Mkii + Onward

This one’s been sitting in the archives but needs to see the light of day! Paul and ...
To some of you, the fact that this FIRST SOUNDS video of the @oldbloodnoise Black Fountain Stereo is in mono is no big deal. So what? Why make a thing out of it. For the rest of you, and especially our regular Collaborators you get it.
It’s cool, let’s come to the same starting point. I (Alan) DO. NOT. LIKE mono pedals. ESPECIALLY my delays. Heck I’ve even returned stereo pedals that had a mono delay (wtf Avalanche Run I’m looking at you!). Drive pedals? Fine. They can be mono (although I do love the Montreal Assembly Too Positive stereo overdrive)
Anyway, I’m digressing way too much here…and using too many parenthetical statements. Truth is I’m writing this at 10:30pm at the airport waiting to board a flight that just got delayed 3 hours. Yay.
What makes the Black Fountain so special here is not that it’s a stereo delay we’re doing in mono (although if you want to see Part 1 of this pedal, we dive into the stereo sounds here: https://youtu.be/AV7UsPOlAo0) No, what makes the Black Fountain special is that they created 3 mono modes specifically for when you’re in mono! The secret to this is first making sure you set the mode to MONO, and from there you use the Space knob to unlock everything.
Turn the Space knob all the way counterclockwise and the right delay turns off, giving you just a single delay. Turn the Space knob just past 9 and you’re in Parallel mode. Past noon and you’re in Series mode (Left runs into the Right). Keep turning and you stay in Series but add diffusion to the delay lines. These features are only when in MONO, so yeah. It’s pretty cool.
What do you think? Would you use this in mono or stereo?
