Got an early delivery of the Mooer Ocean Machine II, a collaboration with Devin Townsend, ...
Ok here’s fun one! Got this as part of a trade and I couldn’t resist. It was apparently part of a “mystery box” and the original user used it as trade bait. It worked, because once doing a small bit of reading on this, I knew I needed my hands on it! It’s cool. You’re going to dig it!
According to the @summerschoolelectronics website, the Spring Break Reverb is… “…A spring-style reverb with an added delay circuit that only affects the reverb tails. This allows for one clean pick attack, but a wash of reverb tails that can add dimension to your amp, and is capable of self-oscillation droning soundscapes. With the delay switch off, the Spring Break functions as a simple one-knob reverb pedal, with plenty of verb on tap. When the Delay switch is turned on the Mix, Delay and Feedback knobs are activated allowing for up to 600ms of delay time that only affects the reverb tails. This allows the Spring Break to be the perfect reverb for your dry amp,. or an inspiration machine when writing your next song. Handmade in Syracuse, NY by a working musician / school teacher.” Take a listen here. I think you’ll agree, it gets into some pretty unique territories. tbh it’s that delay circuit only affecting the reverb tails that gets you to places unexplored by other delays or reverbs. Can you think of any other pedals that do this???
