FIRST SOUNDS // Parting by Old Blood + Emily Hopkins

When  @oldbloodnoise  teased “A Parting Message” earlier this year on their socials, it was undoubtedly intended to make one think they were shuttering their business and getting out of dodge…at least that what many of their followers thought.

Not I, in fact I quite distinctly remember telling Paul, “I bet it’s a glitch delay” and boy was I right!! (lo key proud I was right haha!)

But what I didn’t guess and was caught completely by happy surprise was that Parting is a collaboration between Old Blood and  @emilyharpist2 , also known as Harp Lady.

“Parting is a glitch pedal…that combines chance-based delay or reverb, modulations, degradation effects, and randomized clock changes, to give pleasant surprises at each turn of a knob.”

Listening back to this work of art that Paul did, Parting is the perfect addition to the Old Blood pack, and like all videos we do, we hope you enjoy it!
